ABOUT THE ARTIST
Creating movement, dimension and transparency using vibrant color is the intention of my work.

Learning to oil paint by watching Bob Ross on PBS, led to formal classroom instruction in watercolors, mixed media collage, and acrylics.

The experience of taking a ‘painting dramatic surfaces for quilt tops’ workshop, forced me to reconsider a vow I had made—which was to never learn to sew.

By exploring the cloth structure in its simplest form, I also acquired skills in spinning, quilting and crochet.

Embracing the world of sewing, quilting, dyeing, and making my own fabric — I see these processes as a continuation of my desire to create.
